BRUTAL FIGHT.--Last evening about 5 o'clock, two men, named James Cochran and Andy Goff, met near Denver Hall, and proceeded to settle their difficulties by a fight with fists. A terrible encounter took place, in the course of which the latter was beaten terribly about the head and face with a heavy revolver, and was finally taken from the ground in an insensible condition. His appearance was shocking in the extreme. We learn this morning that Mr. Andy Goff's life is despaired of. Mr. Cochran gave himself up this morning, and an investigation will be had so soon as the result of the wounded man's injuries are known. Out of this affair grew the quarrel, which an hour later resulted in the fatal shooting affray at the Criterion Saloon, the particulars of which are given elsewhere.--How long, citizens of Denver, shall our Sabbaths be desecrated by such scenes of violence and blood?
