Women's Missionary Union in War on
Objectionable Resorts.
A resolution indorsing the Kenyon bill in Congress was adopted yesterday afternoon by the Interdenominational Missionary Union, at a meeting held in Epiphany Church. Women from every church in Washington attended. The Rev. Dr. Wilbur F. Crafts discussed the bill which is to "abate lewdness" and declare certain houses "a nuisance."
A resolution agreeing to aid in the reform was passed.
Mrs. Margaret Dye Ellis and Mrs. John Newton Culbertson presided. Addresses were delivered by Mrs. Theodore S. Wyncoop, an Indian missionary, Mrs. John E. Briggs, Mrs. Charles H. Butler, Mrs. W. B. Hartley, Mrs. Martin Barringer, Mrs. S. D. Lafetra, and Mrs. Lewis Munro.
