SUSPECT FLEES
STORE VIA
CLOSED DOOR

A 25-year-old burglary suspect was in such a hurry to flee a Westwood furniture store he had allegedly burglarized yesterday that he didn't stop to open the door -- ran straight through the glass.
But Stan A. Wynkoop, 4130 Marathon St., Hollywood, changed his mind and halted when police fired warning shots. Wynkoop, who officers said had $200 cash from the furniture store at 2303 Westwood Blvd., in his pocket, was booked at West Los Angeles Police Station on suspicion of burglary.
Police were called to the furniture store by an unidentified passer-by who saw the suspect loitering nearby.
In Wynkoop's 1954 car parked nearby the store, police found a set of burglary tools, they said.
