Wynekoop Place
CHICAGO. Jan. 4. (AP)--Defenders of Dr. Alice L. Wynecoop were rebuffed by Judge Joseph B. David today as they sought to cripple the prosecution by suppressing all evidence taken from the house of death where her daughter-in-law Rheta, was found chloroformed and shot to death on an operating table.
Judge David upheld the right of the police to search the house, to "prowl around, dig up sewers if necessary," for evidence of murder.
Dr. Alice, the elderly prisoner accused of murdering her son's wife, still was unwell when her case was called for trial in Criminal Court and State and defense agreed to a continuance of one week.
