A MILLION ACRE ESTATE.

Last Parcels of Property Owned by Sir Fred-
erick Johnstone To Be Sold.

Bath, N. Y., Feb. 12.--H. J. Wynkoop, local agent for the Pulteney estate, has announced that the estate has been closed. Its owner, Sir Frederick Johnstone, of England, he says, has decided to dispose of his interests in this country, of which there still remain unsold about two thousand acres in this State and a lumber tract in Virginia. The estate has been in existence more than a century, and many hundreds of the farms in this end of the State are a portion of the original territory. The estate has been regarded as a gold mine to its owners, since nearly $6,000,000 has been derived from the sale of these lands. The estate originally comprised more than a million acres.
