    Barnard Martell Wynkoop, editor and general manager of The Citizen Patriot of Jackson, Mich., died here yesterday in the Presbyterian Hospital at the age of 60. He recently underwent an operation for a stomach ulcer.
    His wife, the former Marion Frances Davidson of Detroit, was at his bedside when he died, together with his brothers, G. E. Wynkoop and H. J. Wynkoop and the latter's wife. The body will be taken to Jackson for burial on Wednesday.
    Mr. Wynkoop was born at Bath, N. Y., on March 30, 1873. He was graduated from the local high school in 1891 and went to work as a clerk in the Farmers and Mechanics Bank of Bath. From 1896 to 1898 he was cashier of the Evening News Association of Detroit and circulation manager thereafter until 1902.
    He then became acting manager of The Chicago Journal; business manager of The Detroit Tribune, 1902-3; editor and manager of The Bay City (Mich.) Times until 1918; and since then editor and manager of The Citizen Patriot of Jackson.
    He was a Republican and a Shriner; a member of the Rotary City, Jackson Country and Masonic Country Clubs.
