President Roosevelt yesterday approved promotion of ten lieutenant commanders in the Navy Construction Corps to the rank of commander.
The officers, with their present stations and home addresses, were Ralph S. McDowell, Bureau of Construction and Repair, Easley, Ala.; Frederick B. Britt, jr., office of superintending constructor, Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Newport News, Portsmouth, Va.
Douglas W. Coe, Electric Boat Co., New London, Conn., Duluth, Minn.; William J. Malone, Newport, R. I., Kansas City; John D. Crecca, Washington, Newark; William C. Wade, Washington, Texarkana, Tex.; William R. Nichols, Washington, Los Angeles; Paul W. Hains, San Francisco, Bremerton, Wash.; Thomas P. Wynkoop, jr., Puget Sound, Wash., San Francisco; James G. McPherson, jr., Puget Sound, Wash., Vallejo, Calif.
