Major Nagle.
Major Nagle.

LOCAL AFFAIRS.

Point to rightMajor Nagle of the 48th Reg't, P. V., and Lieut. Rickett, of the 7th Penna. Cavalry, arrived in town this week, on furloughs. Lieut. R. we regret to state, is suffering under an attack of diarrhoea, contracted in Kentucky, in consequence of the impurity of the water. Many others of the same regiment were, also, attacked by the same disorder. The regiment is now in Nashville--We learn that it will be one of the cavalry regiments retained in the service by the Government.
Major Nagle of the 48th Regiment, will return to Hatteras on Monday next, taking with him a number of recruits for the Regiment.
Since the above was placed in type, Major John E. Wynkoop, of the 7th Penna. Cavalary, has reached here on a furlough. He says that the health of the Regiment is good. It expects to reach Nashville on the 21st instant, and letters intended for the Regiment should be directed to that point. Col. Wynkoop was somewhat unwell from an attack of diarrhoea, but has recovered.
