A Batch of Indictments Returned.

    The grand jury came into Criminal Court No. 1 yesterday before Justice McComas and reported a true bill against James Crampton, alias James C. Crumpton, for the second offense of petit larceny; against Edward Dixon for robbery, John R. Hart for larceny, Charles Hopkins for the murder of Adam Gordon, James H. Jackson, John Mitchell, and Nathan Ashton for larceny, Frank Powers for housebreaking, James Shelton, alias James Brooks, Robert Shelton, and Francis Thomas for larceny from the United States, Nicholas Wood for embezzlement, and George E. Wynkoop for embezzlement.
