March 25, 1762 The Pennsylvania Gazette

Philadelphia, March 22, 1762.
    TO be sold by the Subscriber, on the 9th Day of April next, two valuable Plantations, situate in the Manor of Moreland, and County of Philadelphia, on the Road that leads to Newtown, 15 Miles from the City: The one contains 50 Acres, 30 of which are cleared and fenced in, 2 Acres of good Meadow, and more may be made, the Remainder is very good Wood land; a good Stone House, with the best of Wells before the Door, and a very convenient SmithShip, within two Miles of five Merchant Mills: The other contains 77 Acres, adjoining the aforesaid, 40 of which are cleared and fenced in, a Quantity of good Meadow, and the rest Woodland; there is on it a Stone House, with three Rooms on a Floor, a good Barn, Spring house and bearing Orchard, with other conveniencies, too tedious to mention.     Richard Wynkoop, in the 1904 edition of the Wynkoop Genealogy in the United States of America, has this to say about John Wynkoop on page 59:


    144. John Wynkoop, (Cornelius 44, Gerret 5, Cornelius 1,) born December 1 or 15, 1729, baptized March 5, 1730: died July 14, 1784.: married, March 26, 1751, Catharine Van Meter, of New Jersey.
    Children of John and Catharine Wynkoop:
363. Cornelius: b. May 24, 1758, bp. Aug. 5: d. Aug. 1758.
364. Isaac: b. Aug. 1, 1759: m. Rachel Van Cleve.
365. Cornelius; b. June 18, 1762: m. Margaret Fulton.
366. Abraham: b. Apl. 7, 1765: m. Ruth Hayr.
367. Rebecca: b. Aug. 28, 1768, bp. Oct. 16: m. 1st, Henry Hoogland, but had no child: m. 2d, George or Casper Fetter, and had three sons and five daughters.
