______
RIOTOUS STRIKERS AT TROY.
The polishers in Hoyt & Wynkoop's nickle-plating works, on the 26th, struck for an advance of 15 per cent. Two strikers, on Friday, entered the shop and assaulted Geo. Wynkoop and his brother John, but were ejected. That evening John Wynkoop when going home was assaulted by Jacob Dunn, backed by 30 strikers. Wynkoop was struck in the face with a stone and knocked down. Hoyt and Geo. Wynkoop (proprietors of the works) came to John's assistance and Hoyt was wounded in the head and had an arm broken. Geo. Wynkoop was attacked by mob and took refuge in the house of John, and when he saw his friends could not rescue him, shot and seriously wounded Dunn and slightly wounded three others. Eight of the assilants, [sic] including Dunn, were arrested.
