She Leaped From the Bridge.

SHE LEAPED FROM THE BRIDGE.

TROY, N. Y., March 7.--This morning Mrs. Wyncoop, of Green Island, leaped from the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company's bridge that crosses the Hudson River at this city. The fall was about 30 feet. The woman struck on her back, but the ice did not break. A sharp piece that projected above the surrounding surface received her body and made a terrible wound in her back. Her back and one leg were broken and she received internal injuries. When her husband went to work this morning she was apparently quite well. The children were got ready for school by the mother, and after they had gone she locked the door and went out. Mr. Wyncoop does not know of any errand she had to call her to Troy, and her act is attributed to a disordered mind.
