NO CROW FOR HIM.

To the Editor of the New-York Times:
I decline the Crow which you have bestowed upon me. You are more liberal than the brokers were. But I am unwilling to be served at the second table. Besides, I am not entitled to such food, for it would not be appropriate.

Notes:

To be honest with you, I have no idea what this fracas was about. I've searched the newspapers for the immediate time period without success, so I don't have a clue as to what upset Richard Wynkoop. If you know anything about this particular incident in the life of our family chronicler, please contact me at [email protected]. I'd really appreciate it.

    All my best,

    Chris
