A fine band will accompany the corps.
The military participating in the reception, will march to the Depot in this Borough, at noon on Thursday. Upon the arrival of the Legion, it will be escorted through the principal streets of the Borough, to the armory of the Washington Artillerists, where a collation will be served by the Wynkoop Legion.     In the evening the Legion will be entertained at the armory of the Washington Artillerists by that corps; and will attend a Ball to be given at the Town Hall, in its honor, by the Citizen's Cornet Band.

Notes:

The first 9 or 10 lines of this newspaper article are marred by a tear which runs diagonally from the lower left to the upper right of the story, and which is then folded over, so that the text cannot be read at all on the microfilm. I've endeavored to complete the missing sections of recognizable words, without comment, in order to render as complete a copy of this article as it is possible to give at this late date. Unrecoverable sections of this article are indicated by the spaces in square brackets, [].

The Wynkoop Legion was formed to honor the late Col. Francis M. Wynkoop, the nephew of the Major General George Campbell Wynkoop mentioned later in this article.
