AUTO THAT JUMPS
ONE OF FEATURES
AT INVENTORS' SHOW.
Seattle, Wash.,--April 2.--(AP)--Automobiles that will hop into parking places, skip lightly uphill, and maybe jump over pedestrians, and tires that whistle when they go flat--these are some of the dreams of American inventors who gathered here today for their national congress.
The hop, skip and jump automobile is supposed to become possible through a rotary wing invented by Eric Von Haven of Seattle. It was described as a powerful lifting device which would facilitate hill climbing and even make automobile flying a possibility. It works something like a helicopter.
F. Y. Wyncoop of Denver submitted an automatic tire valve cap which toots a warning when air pressure is gone.
