Mrs. Wynkoop Wins Case
Moved From Fairfax
to Prince William.

Special to The Washington Post.

Manassas, Va., June 18.--Mrs. Virgie C. Wynkoop today was awarded $1,500 by a jury in Circuit Court of Prince William County in her suit for $10,000 damages against the County of Fairfax for injuries she received February 2, 1931, when the automobile in which she was riding was in collision with a truck belonging to Fairfax County.
The case was moved from the Fairfax Court to that of Prince William County on an appeal from the decision of the Board of Supervisors on the grounds that the plaintiff could not get a fair and impartial trial by a Fairfax County jury due to the fact that any judgment against the county would tend to increase taxes of any taxpayer in Fairfax County.
The 1931 accident occurred on the Alexandria-Leesburg pike, near Colvin Run in the Dranesville District. The plaintiff claimed injuries to the left leg, numerous injuries about the body, shattered nerves, and partial loss of her eyesight due to nervous shock.
