Encampment of the Brigade.
Encampment of the Brigade.

ENCAMPMENT OF THE BRIGADE.--General Reifsnyder having determined upon an encampment of the 1st. Brigade, 6th Division, the troops will go into camp on Lawton's Hill, in this Borough, on Wednesday, August 29th, and remain four days. As there are some twenty-nine companies in this County, should all participate with well filled ranks, we might anticipate a brilliant spectacle.--We understand that the General will enforce on the occasion, the strict discipline of the regular army. Adjutant-General Wilson was written to we learn, in regard to tents for the encampment, and responded promptly, tendering we believe, all that he can spare from the encampment which will be held at York in September. We hope that the General who is posted in the pomp and circumstance of glorious war, will do all that he can in this respect, for "Fort Wynkoop," and receive the blessings of our veterans as they repose snugly at night, beneath the canvas, theirs through his kindness and attention.
