Traffic Crashes Fatal

TRAFFIC CRASHES FATAL
TO THREE IN THIS AREA
Three persons were dead and eight others slightly injured early yesterday as a result of traffic accidents, police reported.
Dead were Pvt. Mack C. Daniels, 20, Medical Corps, at Army Birmingham Hospital, Van Nuys; Mrs. Alta Wyncoop, 30, of 334 San Angelo St., Bassett, and Lewis Keeran, 17, of 1107 N. Gordon St., Pomona.
Pedestrian Struck
Pvt. Daniels, a pedestrian was struck by a car driven by Albert A. Tetley, 34, of 17357 Magnolia Blvd., and killed at Ventura and Van Nuys Blvds early yesterday. Tetley was not held; police said.
The other two were killed in a collision of two cars at Covina Blvd. and Francisquito St. in Baldwin Park. Young Keeran was driving one car and Mrs. Wyncoop's husband, Edwin S. Wyncoop, 34, the other. The locked cars skidded onto a lawn at 1306 Covina Blvd.
Taken to Hospital
Five boys, riding with young Keeran, ranging in ages from 14 to 19, received minor injuries.
Wyncoop himself and a small child riding in his car were slightly hurt. All the injured were taken to the Stanley and Covina Hospital near the scene of the collision.
