Kingston, July 6.
Thursday last being the anniversary of American Independence at six in the afternoon, a party repaired from town to the place of Major Houghteling, in order to celebrate the day.
At 8 o'clock in the evening, they erected a Bonfire on an eminence in full sight of the town; and when in its fullest blaze, they drank the following patriotic toasts, under the discharge of cannon:
    1. This ever memorable day.
    2. The heroes who have fought and bled for Independence.
    3. The brave engaged in the cause of Freedom, may they be crowned with the Cap of Liberty decorated with laurels.
    4. The advocates for Liberty and Independence throughout the world.
    5. The Constitution of the United States, may it perpetuate the event which we celebrate.
    6. May America as far exceed Europe in prosperity and arts, as she does in virtue and the rights of man.
    7. May she ever continue to be an asylum to the enlightened and oppressed of all nations.
    8. An efficient Constitution to the French established on the principles of equal liberty----and no King.
    9. A Guillotine to all traitors and despots.
    10. The Illustrious Washington.
    11. The author of Common Sense and the Rights of Man.
    12. All true republicans.
    13. May the lamp of American Liberty illuminate the whole world.
After which they partook of a topper--and at twelve retired.

Last Wednesday was executed pursuant to his sentence the negro Charles for the murder of the late Col. Wynkoop.
