PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
The Independent School District of Des Moines under the consolidation law embraces all of the territory and school houses within the corporate limits of the city. Seventeen districts enter into this consolidation. Twelve of these were partly in and partly out and those portions of the districts inside of the city are now a part of the consolidated district. The territory of the other five districts was wholly within the city so that three districts were taken in entire.
