Notes and Acknowledgment:

The dates are date of burial and the ages are the individual's age at the time of their death.

I would like to thank Edward L. Clapper and his staff at the Fernwood Cemetery and Mausoleum in Fernwood, Pa. for the help they gave me in researching these family members. I contacted Edward in August of 1998 and within a couple of days he very graciously provided me with photocopies of their actual records. Edward, thank you so very much. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help.

After years of collecting dust in my files I decided it was time to share these notes with other researchers. I hope you find them useful.

Since entering the information about the first two sets of Wynkoops, I've been contacted by Paul Sookiasian, [email protected], who is researching Khachadoor Paul Garabedian, the only enlisted man in the Civil War who was an ethnic Armenian. Paul is currently embarked on a project to get Khachadoor's gravesite marked and is interested in hearing from anyone who might have more information on Khachadoor Paul Garabedian's family or the family of his wife, Hannah Matilda Wynkoop.

I'd like to thank Paul for generously sharing the fruits of his research with me. Paul, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help. You've proved to me, once again, that there's always more family history to be found, if only you'll dig deep enough.

I'd also like to thank my old friend, Joe Check, [email protected], for putting Paul in touch with me. Joe, thanks so much again. I hope your own research is going well.

    All my best,

    Chris
