She gave me another terrific transcription to work from, (something only those of us who've spent hours toiling over old documents trying to decipher unfamiliar handwriting and archaic phrasings can really appreciate.)     Ann gave me some background information on this registry: "In another envelope I have found a "Registry of Grandchildren of R. W. and Elizabeth Lansing". It is written on a tissue type paper in his hand in 1865...
    Robert Lansing was married to Elizabeth Hardy b. Oct. 24, 1799 and died March 11, 1873. I think she was born in Canajoharie, NY and died in Madison WI. They were married (I think) in Canajoharie because Margaret was born there March 9, 1822. Robert moved to Madison before 1849 because that is where Margaret is married."
