    MYNDERSE WYNKOOP was a direct descendant of Cornelius Wynkoop, one of the first Dutch settlers. He lived in Ulster county and had two sons, Hezekiah and Tobias. Tobias settled at Kiskatom. Evart, the son of Hezekiah came to Catskill in 1789 and bought land. The land was part of Lot No. 5 in Loveridge Patent. Later his brother William came to live on the land. He had four daughters, Altje, Elizabeth, Hannah, Neltje. Neltje married Egbert Schoonmaker. Evart Wynkoop married Altje Myers. They had Hezekiah, William, Henry and Catharine. Hezekiah married Elizabeth, the daughter of William Dederick. Their children were Maria and Evart (twins), Henry, Altje. Of these children, Evart married Marie Post and they had William, Evart, Isaac.

    Henry, the son of Evart and Altje Myers married first, Neltje Mynderse; second, Hannah Synkoop [sic-chw] and they had Henry, Mynderse, Hezekiah, Nellie, Maria. Of these, Mynderse, married Mary E. Schoonmaker. They had Egbert, Nellie, Sarah, William, Asa, Gillette, Iroing, Anna.
