Ship Disasters.

The Wynkoop family and it's descendants, like many another family, have not been immune to disasters at sea and on some of the major arteries of our growing nation. Several of these involved huge losses of life. Here you will find newspaper accounts of these incidents.

These reports are necessarily brief and you will search in vain for family names in many of them since these are on-the-spot accounts and many of the passenger manifests went down with the ship. It is from family bible records and genealogies that we know that family members perished or were endangered in these disasters. By publishing these reports I hope to flesh out some of the family histories and provide more insight into these tragedies.
