Notes and Acknowledgment:
This is yet another set of notes I took back in 1998 and 1999 when I was doing some research at the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania and their rival across the street, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. These notes come from several rolls of microfilm in their separate collections, and contain the burial records of members of my branch of the family, primarily from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. I have to say that I haven't figured out why they chose to be buried in Philadelphia when there were any number of cemeteries in Montgomery County, but there you have it. If you can think of an answer, drop me a line at [email protected]. I'd love to hear what you think.
In addition to the microfilm consulted above, I would also like to thank Jim Lamb of the Wm. Rowan Grant Funeral Home in Southampton, Pa., for providing me with the additional information on Charles H. Wynkoop and Amanda Kirk (Crockett) Wynkoop, my great-grandparents. Jim was extraordinarily kind enough to look up these old records for me back in January of 1998. Jim, thank you so very much.
I would also like to extend a very special thanks to Wm. Rowan Grant, himself, for sending me the very specific information on Harry S. Wynkoop, back in March of 1998. His generosity was overwhelming and I'm deeply grateful.
Once again, these notes have been collecting dust in my files and I decided it was about time to share them with other researchers.
All my best,
Chris
