Company B
December 14, 1861 - Stationed at Camp Hampton near Columbia, South Carolina.
November-December 1862 - Stationed at Camp Kershaw, North Carolina.
December13, 1862 - The company was under fire of the enemy at a bridge, three and one-half miles from Kinston, NC.
December 14, 1862 - Engaged the abolitionists across the Neuse River at Kinston Bridge. Henry J. Coleman& W.J. Crowder were severely wounded.
January-February 1863 - Stationed at Camp Benbow, North Carolina.
February 5-7, 1863 - Remained at Kershaw until February 5, when we were shipped on the cars from Kinston to Goldsborough; thence to Wilmington, where we arrived late at night of February 7.
February 8, 1863 - We left Wilmington on the plank road. Went three miles and bivouacked for the night.
February 9-25, 1863 - Arrived at Camp Jenkins, fourteen miles northeast of Wilmington, where we remained until February 25, then marched sixteen miles to Camp Benbow, four miles south of Wilmington.
September-October 1863 - Stationed at Secessionville, James Island, South Carolina
September 30, 1863 - The company remained at Camp Dunovant near Mount Pleasant, South Carolina until September 30. Then it moved to Camp Nelson, seven miles northeast of Mount Pleasant, near the line of breastworks.
October 11, 1863 - Arrived on James Island
October 12, 1863 - Moved to Secessionville, where we have remained until the present date
November-December 1863 - Stationed at Sullivan's Island, South Carolina
November 30, 1863 - The company moved fromSecessionville. Previous to leaving Secessionville the company was ordered to Fort Sumpter, where it remained for twelve days and nights under a (illegible) hail of shot and shell and took an active part in repulsing the enemy when they attacked the fort in barges with a loss of one man slightly wounded.
December 1, 1863 - Arrived at Sullivan's Island in the morning, where we still remain.
January-February 1864 - Stationed near Green Pond, South Carolina
February 14-15, 1864 - Left camp on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina and moved to this place on February 15, a distance of fifty miles by way of railroad.
March-April 1864 -Stationed at Wilmington, North Carolina
April 16, 1864 - Remained at Green Pond, working on fortifications, some twelve miles distant from camp until April 16, when the company,with the regiment, moved by railroad to Wilmington North Carolina.
April 22, 1864 - Left Wilmington for Tarborough, North Carolina to guard the prisioners take at Plymouth. Carried them to Charleston and delivered them to the new guard and then returned to Wilmington.
July-August, 1864 - Stationed near Petersburg, Virginia
July 30, 1864 - At the beginning of July we were in the trenches near Petersburg, keeping a continual sharpshooting from day to day until July 30, when the enemy made the terrible explosion. The company was engaged the whole day with the enemy, participating in two charges, the last of which they were driven from our lines,works recaptured, etc. Have lost five members killed from July 1 to 30. Since the explosion have been on the line near the Crater, sharpshooting, etc.
August 30, 1864 - The company, with the brigade, came out of the trenches to rest a few days, lying in reserve near the line.
September-October 1864 -Stationed in the trenches near Petersburg, Virginia. Since September 1, have been constantly in the trenches on the right and left of the Crater with the exception of a very few days.
October 11, 1864 - Two of the company were severely and two slightly wounded by mortar shells at night.
November-December 1864 - Stationed in trenches near Petersburg, Virginia. Since November 1, have been constantly in the trenches, all the while under fire of the sharpshooters and occasionally being shelled by the enemy.
November 7, 1864 - One man was severely wounded by a sharpshooter.
January-February 1865 - Stationed in the trenches near Petersburg,Virginia. Have been in the ditches since January 1, in front of Petersburg, Virginia.
