Record of Events from the Official Records of the Rebellion for Company H:

Sept./Oct. 1862 - Stationed at Staunton, VA

Sept. 24, 1862 - Marched from Adams Run, SC to Summerville, SC.

Oct. 1, 1862 - The horses & men left for Staunton, VA.

Oct. 19, 1862 - Men reached Staunton, VA.

Nov./Dec. 1862 - Stationed at Camp Whatley, Culpeper County, VA.

Nov. 1, 1862 - Horses reached Staunton.

Nov. 19/26, 1862 - Removed from Staunton to Camp Whatley.

March/April 1863 - Stationed at Lunenburg County VA.

May 1-Aug. 31, 1863 - Stationed at Stevensburg.

Sept. 13, 1863 - Co. H was engaged in the fight around Culpeper, after which our forces retreated back to Racoon Ford. No one was killed, only one officer & four men were wounded. The effectual force of the company at the time was fifty-five men.

Oct.1/8, 1863 - After that the company was engaged in the fight at Robertson's River. One of our men was wounded & none killed. We then fell back to Rapidan River & remained one night in camp. Since then we attacked & drove the enemy from Culpeper & followed them as far as Warrenton.

Nov. 8, 1863 - The company had a skirmish with the enemy near Stevensburg.

Nov. 10, 1863 - Moved from Culpeper to Orange Court House, then to Louisa Court House.

Nov. 16, 1863 - Had several skirmishes with the enemy on the south side of the Rapidan River commencing about this date. Marched to Caroline County near Hamilton's Crossing, near Fredericksburg. The horses are in bad condition for the want of forage, particularly long forage.

Jan./Feb. 1864 - The regiment has been stationed in camp in Caroline County, VA since last muster. The horses are in bad condition for the want of forage, especially long forage.

March/April 1864 - Stationed at Columbia, SC.

March 20, 1864 - The regiment left VA for the state of SC.

March 31, 1864 - Arrived at camp near Columbia SC.

May/June 1864 - Stationed at James Island, SC.

May 19, 1864 - The regiment left Columbia SC.

May 21, 1864 - Arrived at James Island SC.

July/Dec. 1864 - Sationed at James Island SC.
