Turkey Creek Minute Men

On last Saturday, the citizens of Turkey Creek met at Olivet Church, for the purpose of witnessing the drilling of the Turkey Creek Minute Men, and also to hear a speech from B. C. Pressley. This Company, which is composed of men in the prime of life, is ready at a minute's warning, to rush to the defence (sic) of the country. The men have learned the first principle of liberty - they cherish it - they will fight for it - they will die for it. They obey the commands of their officers with delight; and are eager to learn the art of war. We give below a list of the names:
