WILLIAM PALETHORPE was born about 1794 in Nottingham, England. On February 16, 1817 at St. Mary's Parish, Nottingham, we find the marriage record of William Palethorpe, Bachelor, to MARY HARVEY, Widow. Both of this parish. In presence of Thomas Palethorpe. (Probable brother to William).
(As there are numerous Palethorpe's in Nottingham, and to verify that the above marriage was the right Palethorpe we were looking for, we had to search the names "Harvey", and then "Parlby" which the 1851 Census gave us a clue to! We feel we have the right line.....see below)
George Harvey, Bachelor, married MARY SMITH, spinster on 7 April 1807 at St. Mary's Parish, Nottingham.
(Pg 260, Marriages 1763-1813 at St. Mary's Parish, Nottingham).
