BOYER | LALUMONDIERE - BOYER I am trying to learn anything about my grandmother, Sidney Boyer (deceased). She was born around 1892 in St. Genevieve, MO and lived there in her youth. Her mother died in childbirth when my grandmother was 12 (approx 1904). She stayed home to raise her other siblings (about 10-12, which included a set of twins), while her father returned to work. I believe her mother's maiden name was Lalumondiere (spelling may be incorrect) and her father's was Boyer. They spoke only French. She moved to St. Louis alone as a young woman. Some of her siblings names were Hester, Ruth, Grace, a cousin named Phyllis. I don't remember the other names, but one brother became a merchant marine. |

BRADDY, Joseph B. (Joe) |
Research on JOSEPH B. (JOE)
BRADDY, b. December 25, 1824 in Johnston County, NC. According to census records, Joe was a teamster in his earlier years and appears to have migrated to Texas in mid-1830s; according to deed records he was a land investor/farmer between 1874 and 1887 in Young and Callahan counties of Texas, near Abilene; his latter years were as a farmer and lived between Jack, Montague and Cooke counties with his eldest daughter, Margaret. Joe was first married to an unknown person (S. BRADDY) born in MO in 1826, and had Margaret L. b. 1867 in Texas and William George Washington b. 10 July1868 in Ft. Worth , Texas . Margaret’s census information and William’s death certificate indicates their mother was born in MO. Information locates J. Brady (Braddy) along with daughter, Margaret age four and son, William age two in the Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, TX 1870 Census. Tarrant County, TX mortality schedules for 1870, lists M.E Braddy, female, less than age one, died in December 1869 and S. Braddy, age 44 assumed to be M.E.s mother, died in March 1870. Speculation would lead one to believe that at age 44, other children existed prior to 1870 other than M.E., Margaret and William. Joe was later married to FANNY MITCHELL, b. 10 May 1840 in Lawrence, IN, as indicated in the Buffalo Gap/Abilene, Texas1880 Census and they had four additional children as noted below. . Joe Braddy was included in the family of JOHN M. AND MARGARET L. BRADDY SIMPSON in Cooke County, TX in the 1910 Census. Joe accompanied his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret (Maggie) L. Braddy and John M. Simpson, to Teton County, WY. Joseph died on November 5, 1916 in Jackson, WY and is buried in Aspen Cemetery, Teton County, WY. Census entry listed Joe as a widower at the time of his death Fanny at age 55 and son Charley at age 23, b. 1880 noted in Ada, Pontotoc County , OK- area (Ada-Indian Territory Census of 1906). Fanny was also mentioned in a 1911 edition of the Ada Evening News, along with Charley and Dick. FANNY MITCHELL BRADDY at age 74 was noted in the 1920 Census in Cimarron Township , Pawnee County , OK . Fanny was living with her half sister, VINA J. Kinder WYATT. Vina b. Oct 1857 in IN was the wife of CHARLES E. WYATT b. 10 Apr 1856 in Cass County , MO. Charles E. Wyatt was the son of JAMES MORGAN WYATT known to be buried in Pioneer-Boggess Cemetery in St. Jo, Montague, TX, James Morgan Wyatt was a bootmaker and reportedly a Montague County Sheriff. Vina and Fanny’s mother was ANGELINE MAYFIELD MITCHELL KINDER, also buried in Pioneer-Boggess Cemetery. I would greatly appreciate any leads to these Montague County residents; i.e. birth certificates, death certificates, marriage info, birth of children, etc. I suspect that Fanny in about 1870 met and married my great grandfather, JOSEPH B. BRADDY somewhere between Tarrant County and possibly in Montague County. Joe had the following children: MARGARET L. BRADDY, b. 1865 in TX d. Jackson, WY and buried in Aspen Cemetery . Maggie married rancher/cattleman John M. Simpson in Taylor County, TX on August 28, 1881 and had the following children: Hiram Keith b. 1882 in TX, d. 1911 in Valley View, TX and buried in Valley View Cemetery Arthur William b. abt 1887 in TX unaccounted for after 1930 Wyoming census. Sarah E. b. abt 1889 in TX unaccounted for after 1930 Wyoming census. Lillie Mae b. abt 1891 in TX,d. 1910 in Valley View, TX and buried in Valley View Cemetery Florence E. b. in 1891 in TX- d. 1913 in Jackson, WY, buried in Aspen Cemetery. Dollie b. abt 1903 in OK, 1911 in Valley View, TX and buried in Valley View Cemetery. WILLIAM GEORGE WASHINGTON BRADDY (my grandfather) b. 10 Jul 1868 in Ft Worth, TX. d. 12 May 1954 in Texas City , TX . William (Will) married Mary Maude Chaffin of Bulcher, TX and had the following children: Elvis Lee b. 07 May 1893 in St. Jo, TX d. 03 Aug 1960 in Phoenix, AZ Eula Mae b. 05 Mar 1897 in St. Jo, TX d. 23 Jun 1982 in Houston, TX Joe Milton b. 25 Oct 1900 in St. Jo, TX d. 16 Apr 1947 in the Texas City, TX explosion William Leslie b. 01 Nov 1902 in St. Jo, TX d. 29 Jun 1988 in Texas City, TX Maurice James (my dad) b.14 Jul 1908 in Stoneburg , TX d. 10 Dec 1996 in League City TX SALLIE A. BRADDY b. 1874 in Texas and married R. Alford 1 Mar 1893 in Graham, TX. It is believed that they possibly had at least one son, William A. Alford b. June 09, 1918 in OK; d. April 04, 1990 in Riverside, CA. (This son is not validated) George E. Braddy b. 1876 in TX. Disappeared after 1880 Abilene Census. Probably died in Abilene area at young age. Dick or maybe Richard b. 1879 in TX, died of TB in Ada, OK on January 17, 1911 at the home of Charley and is buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, OK. Charley Braddy b. 1880 in TX, was a Ada, OK police officer who was shot and killed in Ada , OK in 1912. Buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, OK on April 26, 1912. I would appreciate any information re Braddy of North Carolina |

BROWN, John |
b. TN 19 July 1824), thought to
have died in Missouri (possibly Dunklin Co?), 30 April 1858. Family
possibly enroute from Gibson County TN thru or by-way-of Dunklin Co.,
to Fulton Co. AR. Wife Caroline Harber (b. TN 1825), with daughter
Martha (b. TN 1849), sons Joseph (M, "Bud"?) (b. TN 1852), and Thomas
Jefferson (my ggf) (b. TN 1854), apparently arrive Fulton Co. in 1858,
as daughter Amanda is born there 30 July 1858, exactly 3-mos after JOHN
is said to have died. If our chronlology is correct, the Brown's stay
in MO, if indeed they spent any time there, is likely to have begun
after Thomas Jefferson's TN birth 5 Jan 1854, and ended before Amanda's
AR birth in 1858. Other than what is in Goodspeed's fairly extensive
record on Thomas Jefferson, and what we have in limited family records
(some possibly derived from Goodspeed?), this JOHN BROWN has been found
by us only in the 1850 Gibson Co. TN. US Census, where he is living
with wife Caroline and baby daughter Martha, next door to her parents
and family. Harbers also show in Fulton Co. AR. in later records. |

BRUNNER | My Brunner family came from Basel,
Switzerland on the Ship
Queen Victoria.
They departed from Havre, France and landed on 2/28/1846 in New
Orleans,
Louisiana. They settled in the Cincinnati, Ohio area in Campbell
County Kentucky which is directly across the Ohio river from Cincinnati. I have seen our name spelled Bruner and Brunner. My gr. gr. grandfather, Joseph Brunner was 46 when he came to the U.S. from Switzerland in 1846. I do not know the name of my gr. gr. grandmother. My great grandfather was Brutus Brunner born in 1833. His brother was Leander Brunner, born in 1838. Both were born near Basel, Switzerland. Brutus came to Alton, Illinois from Kentucky in 1855/1856. It appears that Leander came with him but settled in Missouri. Leander Brunner married Eliza Doak King in St. Francois County in 1859. He and Eliza had children by the name of Luther, Albert, Edwin, Sarah, Gertrude B. (Mrs. Fred A. Keller) and Mildred (Mrs. M.J. Hotson). The Leander Brunner family resided at 1431 North Newstead Avenue, St. Louis in 1912. Leander was a machinist and later managed a shoe store in his retirement. Brutus Brunner co-founded the Brunner and Duncan Foundry in Alton, Illinois There were other family members that came to the U.S. in 1846 but as far as I know, these 2 boys are the only Brunner family members that came to the St. Louis area. |

I cannpt locate Charles and Josie at all in any census and I cannot locate Luther and his wife in 1900. I am thinking the spelling of last name may be the problem. |

given name: Christy or Christian Christy was born in St. Louis, MO as Christian Cunningham to a "shanty Irish" family. As my father, Christy, Jr. tells it, a fire killed Christian's family and was adopted by the BURNS family when he was very young. I cannot find any information, records- anything on Christy C. Burns, except that he was in France during WWI and died in Waukegan, IL in 1979. His mother's name was possibly ANN or ANNIE Bektol or Bechtel, or variant of, born in Ireland. |

BUSHNER | Neosho , MO was the location of a copy of the Bushner family records that I remember. I saw the copy when I was young, in the early 70's. There is supposed to be a copy in a church or library in Neosho. It goes back to about 1850 to 1970. One of the ancestors, Frederick (?) Bushner supposedly had a large farm in Neosho and there is a stone wall still standing that he built around the property. My grandfather, Guy Frederick Bushner (1896-1984) had a copy of the records and he is from Missouri. I'm looking for a copy of the records and/or more information on my family. |

family in Saint Louis, Mo. in late 1800's/early 1900's. Here is my family record (there may be some inaccuracies and names have multiple spellings): John (middle name--Philip or Frances?) Butler was born in 1836 and came to USA from Winklow, Ireland in 1856. He married Marie Brown. He is buried at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in STL. He served in the Civil War and this information is listed on his grave marker. Family records indicate he died in 1885 but the grave marker has a date of December 12, 1894. He was a Corporal in the 123rd Field Artillery, 35th Division. His children were Philip, Andrew, Josie, Edward, and my great-grandfather, James Butler. James married Theresa Mullally and their children are John, James, a baby that died, Norbert, Phillip, Adrian, and my grandfather, Albert I. Butler(1909-1975). |
