Regarding Children
REGARDING CHILDREN OF SAMUEL JOBE AND BARBARY ADWELL: We have nothing at this time to PROVE their actual children - other than the fact that Zachariah is on the 1850 census with him AND predominance of theory based upon location, migration, etc.Hiriam and John, followed the same migration trail as known descendants and Hiriam even named a son Caleb. IF they are not children of this Samuel, I'm quite certain that they descend from Jacob Jobe and Deborah MacKay and therefore very closely connected to this line.

"Samuel Jobe, brother of Zachariah & son of Jacob, did leave a will, it just didn't survive the burning of the records. It is mentioned in the Court records of Sullivan Co. as being written 20 April 1861 and probated 7 April 1862."
Exhibited in open court the last will and testament of Psamuel Jobe dated 20th of April 1861 execution proven by the oath of Terry W. Keen subscribing witness thereto to record and ordered to be recorded.
Note from Donna:
the spelling of his name is the way it's written. It's underlined, indicating that they realized that it was a mistake... by the way, the will didn't survive. Since the courthouse was burned by those Yankees, we don't have much left. This book actually began in 1861, so this is the only pre-Civil War stuff we have, except for the deeds There's no record of it

NOTE:
I'm pretty sure that Ann E. Jackson is a Job(e) descendant. On the 1850 Barren Co., Kentucky census she is living with Benjamin Jackson, age 66. Next door to her is Isaac N. Jackson family and next to Isaac is the John Job(e) - Saray Elsey family.
If so, this would make descendants of John and Hannah, TRIPLE cousins to me.
If you have any old photos for any descendants of this family, please send to me at
