Couple - Can anyone identify?

William Henry Stone joined the Confederacy when he was 18 years old. He was in the 41st Regiment of the Mississippi Infantry and served as a private in Company G. He was captured by the North after the Battle of Blakeley , Alabama. He was held prisoner on Ship Island, off the coast near Biloxi, Mississippi. This is also known as Fort Massachusetts.
He moved from Mississippi to McNairy Co., Tennessee when he was 40 years old. He settled near Bethel Springs. He was the last surviving Confederate Veteran of Obion Co., Tennessee. He died on 4 Jul 1943 and is buried in Cobbs Chapel in Obion Co., Tennessee

Descendants are DOUBLE COUSINS to me. Georgia and 'Syl' were 2nd cousins once removed as Syl was a second cousin to Georgia's mother, Sarah (Vinson) Stone. Georgia's grandfather, Hiram Calvin Vinson was a first cousin to Syl's mother, Galpha Minerva (Vinson) Sutton.
Therefore all of us who descend from Jesse R. Vinson or from William Vinson who married Rutha Wilson are 'double cousins' to the descendants of Georgia and 'Syl'.

Hiram's Obituary

Former Carroll Countian Died at Milan Hospital
Hiram S. Sutton, a retired farmer, died at Milan Hospital Monday after a brief illness. He was 93.
Services were at 2 PM Tuesday at the Tiptonville Church of Christ. Burial was in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery in Obion County.
Mr. Sutton was born in Carroll County, but had lived in Milan for many years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Georgia Stone Sutton; three sons, Roy Sutton of Union City, J.P. Sutton of Milan & Vincent Sutton of Austin, TX. four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Beasley of milan, Mrs. Zitella Hammonds of Trenton, Mrs. Darnsese Powers of Memphis, and Mrs. Lucille Liles of Tiptonville; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
