This deed of commerce from William Burres to John Tyler Deweese Witnesseth that said Burres has this day Bargained and sold unto the Said Deweese a certain tract or Parcel of Land in Barren COunty Ky and laying on the waters of Barren Fork Containing fifty acres at twelve Dollars per acre amounting to Six hundred dollars four hundred dollars in hand Paid the Receipt of which is acknowledged and the Remainder which is two hundred dollars to be paid at Eighteen months from this date which survey is Bounded as follows Beginning at a Stake 14 Links South of a stone thence N92 poles to a stone Same Course 20 poles to an Elm thence South 85E61 1/2 poles to a white oak & hickory thence south 71E22 1/2 poles to a white oak on a dry branch thence South 42 1/2 poles to a small white oak thence west 13 1/2 poles ____ to a stone in a field thence South 60 poles to a Stake in James Shirleys line thence west 68 poles to the Beginning Containing fifty acres to have and to hold unto Said Deweese and his heirs & the Said Burrers Doth hereby sell alien and convey Said Boundary unto Said Deweese with covenants of General Warranty in Testamony whereof the said Burres and wife have this 30th day of July 1874 Set their hands and seal a lien is retained on this land until paid for.
