By 1850 the children of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese have long since married and left the home. The whereabouts of daughter Rachel at this recording remain unknown. Daughter Elizabeth had passed away and her children are scattered, some residing with their father William Ferguson, one with grandparents David and Rhoda, while others are in the home of a family assumed to be family friends. The majority of the family remains in Barren County Kentucky, but youngest son Cornelius has set out on his own at a distance from his siblings and resided in Morgan County Illinois at the time of the 1850 census.
