1870
By 1870 the majority of the children of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese remain in the Barren County Kentucky area. However, daughters Mary and Jincy have relocated with their families to Iowa in Jasper and adjascent Marion counties by 1860 and remain there. Some of the children of these families, grandchildren of David and Rhoda, also reside in the vacinity of their parents. Youngest son of David and Rhoda, Cornelius, remains in Illinois, having wed and begun his own family.
Elizabeth, daughter of William and Elizabeth Deweese Ferguson, has married and located in Bates County Missouri, still "frontier country" during this period.
John, son of Aquilla and Mary Deweese Dunaway, has relocated to Cherokee County Kansas.
Venturing even further into the "frontier" is the family of Joseph and Luann Piper Woody. By this decade they have removed far west to Jackson County Oregon.
