---

I was looking through the Holladay information and found this. Feuqua

Beasley Holladay married Sarah A. Bonner, born GA 1813. No children. In

chambers Co, Census 1840-50,60,70. In 1870 the family consisted of F. B. age

59 and mary Jane 35? Oct 1, 1839 F. B. Acquired 160 acres original land tract

in T. 23 R. 28, s. 8. F.B. was a teacher and a Justice of Peace.

I see him listed as performing several weddings in the family.

---

After F.B.'s death in about 1885, (this is an educated guess), Mary Jane and all

her children along with the Smedley boys and some Tomlinsons and others

migrated by train to Bell Co., TX and in 1905 Rebecca and her husband Mack

Jackson went to Taylor Co. TX.

It is a transcription of the 1884

LaFayette Sun newspaper by Glenda Brack. In it F.B. is mentioned in an

arraignment, and later as a "Singing School" teacher and leader at the

Hillabee Musical Convention, from the Stateline Convention.
