Russell County, Va. on 26 Dec 1843, the son of Emory Thompson
and Phoebe Fuller. During the Civil War, Norman served in
Co. I, 34th Btn. Va. Cav. C.S.A. On 16 Apr 1868, Norman Thompson
married Mary Elizabeth Wallis the daughter of Major and Eleanor Wallis.
Mary was born in Morgan Co., Ky. 15 Jun 1851. Mary Thompson
died 17 Aug 1903 and Norman 15 May 1914. Both are buried in
the Thompson Cemetery on Big A Mtn. near Honaker.
