Hello Georgene, my name is Betty Hilton (nee Clayton) and I live in Charlotte, NC. I want to let you know how much I have
enjoyed your web site. You have been so much help to me and I really appreciate all the hard work that has gone into your
research. (Even tho it is fun!) I have only been researching the Brashears family for a short time and you have saved me a lot of looking.

In looking through your work and comparing it with mine, I found one difference that I would like to share. In your 8th
generation, you show Meredith Docken Brashears as having a second wife, Rhoda Clayton. I have Sarah Rhoda Clayton
(1817-1896) married to Meredith's son Major Dockens Brashears (1817-1907) Major was his first name, not his title. Their
dates were taken from their tombstone in the Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery. Sarah's parents were Gowan Clayton
and Frances (?), who are my gggg grandparents.

Major Docken and Sarah Rhoda had a son, Meredith Clayton "Merda" Brashears (1856-1932) who married Frances Rachel
Clayton (1855-1928). They are also buried at Holly Springs. It seems that these two families are truly intertwined.

I have a little more on these people if you are interested. Let me thank you again for all the help your research has given me.
