Andrykowski Family History

FAMILY ON THE MOVE

My Andrykowski lineage in Poland is one of my more difficult family lines to trace.  The reason is that the family apparently moved several times.  I have a couple leads based on church marriage records from Chicago and a German child court order with a Schwetz, Prussia government seal dated October 21, 1889.  Marriage records list my great grandmother Agnes Andrykowski was born in Byslaw parish. The Valentine Andrykowski family lived in the town of Byslaw from 1853 to 1859.  Below is the family tree verified by these parish records.  Valentine Andrykowski and Sophia Spichalski(Spychalski) are my great, great grandparents.

THE HUNT CONTINUES

Documents from Byslaw and Schwetz reveal that this Andrykowski family line was always on the move.  Apparently, the Andrykowski family finally settled in Kozlowo.  LDS church death records end in 1890.  It is presumed that the head of this family, Valentine, died after 1890.  This lack of a documentation unfortunately leaves his birth and death years open.  The question remains open as to where this family line originated prior to living briefly in Byslaw.  There is also a gap between Byslaw records ending in 1859 and starting again in Schwetz with a death record in 1870.  Anastasia's birth in 1868 was not found in Schwetz.  Therefore, the Andrykowskis lived in another parish sometime from 1860 to 1870.  This leaves one good genealogical wide open.......are there more unknown siblings in this lineage?

SPICHALSKI OR SPYCHALSKI

Research of Byslaw parish church records yielded one Spichalsky(Spichalski) family lineage, but not related to mine.  It is believed at this time that this line may be a related cousin line that caused the Valentine Andrykowski family to originally move to Byslaw.  Following this line showed Byslaw documents recording this single lineage with both spellings, but the Spychalski spelling much more dominant.  Deeper research into the Chicago Polish parishes through the Polish Genealogical Society of America's index of marriages prior to 1915 verifies the spelling of the surname Spychalski used 16 times.  The spelling Spichalski was used only once.
