Howell
Immigrants
The earliest Howells
that have been located are Benjamin (c. 1735-1799) and his brother Joshua
Howell (b. 1745). Dr. Thomas Jones
research indicates they were from Pennsylvania probably Philadelphia Co. since
that is where Daniel Howell said he was born.
Philadelphia was one of
the most common points of entry for immigrants so possibly Benjamin and his
brother Joshua were the first Howells of their branch in America. However no Benjamin and Joshua Howells are
listed in the many volumes of the Passenger and Immigration Lists.

Benjamin or Joshua Howell, this is a list of all Howells found listed in
Philadelphia before 1735.
