Sarah Jane Crowder was born between 1849 - 1850 in Texas. She married John Miller McAfee 16 October 1865 in Hopkins County, Texas (Vol 2, p 294). He was born March 1847 in South Carolina.


Children of John Miller McAfee and Sarah Jane Crowder are:

  1. Harvey McAfee was born about 1869 (Listed in the 1870 census, not in 1880)
  2. Lallie / Sallie McAfee was born about 1872, died before 1893
  3. Paul McAfee was born about 1876 - (he is listed in the 1880 census; no other information on him.)
  4. Paulena M. "Lena" McAfee was born 08 March 1874 in Hopkins County, Texas.
  5. Jewell J McAfee was born 1879 in Hopkins County, Texas.
  6. Barney Lawson McAfee was born 09 March 1888 in Texas.

Sarah Jane Crowder McAfee died 03 April 1890 in Hopkins County. We do not know where she is buried.

John Miller McAfee died 31 December 1922 in Route # 4, Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas (Death Index Vol: 4, p: 9). He was buried 01 January 1923 in Forest Academy Cemetery in Hopkins County, Texas
