Tomlinsons and their families live all over the United States. They are descendants from the Revolutionary War soldier, John Tomlinson and his father William Tomlinson, who furnished supplies for this war in South Carolina.

From Live Oak, FL, take CR 51 (Mayo Rd.) 6.5 mi. to CR 250 (Dowling Park Rd.), turn right. Go 6 mi. to 193rd. Rd. Turn left. Church is about 1/4 mi. on the right.
This family reunion began in 1973, and is held yearly on the first Saturday in October at Clayland Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Suwannee County, FL.
It is believed there is a Tomlinson Reunion held at White Springs, FL, for the descendants of Moses and Charlotte (Monk) Tomlinson, perhaps one in the Hahira, GA area, but this writer has not been able to get any particulars. Even though our ancestry extends to William Tomlinson (c1720-c1789) through his son, John (RS), grandson, William and Nancy (Register), all Tomlinson and allied descendants are cordially welcome at the Clayland Baptist Church in Suwannee County, Florida.

It was begun by the children of Benjamin Sherman, Jr. & Narcissa Cindrella (Touchton) Tomlinson. Prior reunions were held at Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church and at the home of Benjamin Stalvey Tomlinson, Sr., in Echols County, GA. These were discontinued upon "Ben's" death; one was later held at Statenville, GA, but there was not enough interest for them to continue.
