In the name of god Amen. I george Jackson of the county of Washington and State of Tennessee Being in craven health But of sound mind and memory thanks being given unto god calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed For all men once to Die, Do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is To say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of almighty god that gave it and my body I recommend To the earth To be buried in Decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my executer nothing Doubting, but at the general Resurection I shall Receive the same again by the allmighty honor or god and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased god to Stop me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form:first i give and Bequeath to George Jackson my son all my lands and tenements By his paying the other heirs seventy five dollars each in Current Bank notes and also I give to my daughter Elizabeth Jackson twenty five dollars to be paid by George Jackson my son extra of the seventy five Dollars and also she is to have half the household furniture and all my other property is to be sold at my death, and the effects equally divided between all my children, Rachael Bacon, Loraus Bacon, Lear Bacon, gemima Bacon, Hannah Conkin, Elizabeth Jackson, William Jackson, Saban Jackson, George Jackson my four Sons and I also appoint George Jackson my sole executor of this my last will and testament and hereby utterly disallow Revoke and Disannul all and every other former testaments wills legacies bequests and executors By me in anywise Before names willed and Bequeathed Ratifying and confirming this and no other to Be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this twenty fifth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty.

I Chase Hale do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time made heretofore, first, I direct that after my death that my body be resigned to the grave in decent order. Secondly, I direct that all my funeral expenses and debts be paid out of any moneys that may first come into the hands of my executor. Thirdly my will is that my beloved wife, Clary Hale have all personal property and lands that I may die seized and possessed of during her natural life to have conclusive [sic] control [sic] of the same during her natural life or so long as he remains my widow. My will is that after the death of my beloved wife that my executor make sale and sell all my personal property that may be on hands after the death of my beloved wife to be sold on reasonable time with security.
And sell all lands that I may die seized and possessed of after the death of my beloved wife to be sold on credit of reasonable time so that it may not be sacrificed and the money to be appropriated as follows. These are my heirs: Margaret Jackson and her heirs to have and equal share of the money that my land and property may bring and her husband John W. Jackson to have nothing to do with the same. My executor to pay the same to her alone, and take her receipt if she is living and if dead, to be paid to the children as they become of age. Susan Hale to have the same equal share of the money. My will is that Elizabeth Hale, wife of my son William Hale, decd., have one dollar out of my estate as she has since intermarried with one man, Steel of the State of Ilinoise [sic], leaving no heirs by the said William Hale. Polly An Jackson to have and equal share. Hannah Cox to have an equal share. Ruth Mitchell to have an equal share. Nancy Jobe to have an equal share with the other heirs. My will is that the heirs of my son George Hale, Decd., have his share, he being made equal with the balance of the heirs.
My will is that James W. Cox, son of Sally Cox, Dec;d., have her share, she being made equal with the balance of the heirs. Betty Jackson, Decd., her heirs to have her share, she being made equal with the balance. My will is that my daughter Susan Hale have one colt and side saddle, cow and calf, one spinning wheel and one bedstead and bedding, sow and pigs and other items that I give to my other daughters when they first left me.I hereby nominate and appoint Nathan Shipley my Executor to this my last will and testament.
