J.A. Nix was the son of James Luke and Sapbrana *Unknown Nix. J.A. married Selvia" Rosa Bell" Cole, daughter of Calvin and Lucinda *Unknown Cole. Children of J.A. and Selvia Rosa Bell Cole Nix were; Tom, Lillie, William Oliver (Oll), Laydie, Mary, James Calvin (Cab), Robert Anderson (Ann) and Maggie. Rosa Bell died in 1904 and is buried in Caddo, Bryan County, Oklahoma. J.A. Nix was killed by a train.
