The big curl in the middle of my forhead was Hazels way of fixing my hair ... which Goldie stopped doing immediately, so from then on I had curls all around my head no top curl.

This picture was given to me by my Aunt Mary BOST Bates - Shonda ... taken before I was given to Goldie and Bob Williams..... by someone I called Aunt instead of mother.  The story was I was never allowed to call her mother because she knew someday she would have to give me away. I later found out that I always called my mother "mother" . 

Picture taken when I arrived at Goldies and Bobs .. Bob's hand is holding the cigarette .... It is the same place where I have the picture of Goldie and me with the steps of the porch in the background.
