Thomas and Catherine Thompson were my Great Great great Granparents. Thomas Thompson was born May 14, 1822 in Ireland to Robert and Eliza (McMullen) Thompson. He died November 05, 1909 in Grant County, Indiana. Thomas Thompson married Catherine Bell in Ireland. Catherine Bell was born October 13, 1834 in Ireland to James Bell and Mary E. Thompson. Hill Thompson
June 18, 1857 - January 20, 1935

Hill Thompson is my Great Great Grandfather. He was a farmer a chiropracter and a policeman for the Cincinnatti, Ohio police department. Hill Thompson was born in Cincinnatti, Ohio on June 18, 1857 to Thomas Thompson and Catherine Bell. He died on January 20, 1935 in Grant County, Indiana. He first married Ellen Hanlon on June 10, 1882 in Grant County, Indiana. Ellen Hanlon was b. Unknown and d. between 1883 and 1894. They had the 2 children 1. Thomas Hanlon Thompson b. March 22, 1882 d. 1954 2. Luella Thompson b.1884 d.around 1885. After the death of Ellen, Hill left Tommy with his parents here in Grant Co. until he was approx. 13 yrs old. while he worked as a police officer and was a supervisor over acres of orchards.

He second married Thilda Persson on January 16, 1894 in San Fransisco, California. Thilda was the daughter of Per Persson and Ingar ???. She was born in Vestra Scallrup, Skona Eslov, Sweden on December 26, 1855 and died in Grant County, Indiana on June 29, 1946. Hill and Thilda Thompson had five children. 1. Alexander Person Thompson b.September 13, 1895 d.July 18, 1961 2.Ingrid Emilia Thompson b.April 22, 1897 d.1981 3.Virgil Freely Thompson b.August 26, 1899 d.1985. Alexander Thompson is my Great Grandfather. He was born in Grant County on September 13, 1895 and died on July 18, 1961 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. He married Vivian Minnie Harris on January 26, 1915 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Vivian was born June 15, 1894 in Grant County, Indiana to David E. Harris and Minnie Bell Cox. Vivian died on July 27, 1981 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.

Alexander and Vivian had 8 children. 1. David Hill Thompson b. January 02, 1916 d. 1986 2. Gathel Roberta Thompson b. September 01, 1918 d. 1996 3. William Alexander Thompson b.April 08, 1920 d. October 22, 1969 4. Lois Vivian Thompson b. May 11, 1921 d. May 26, 1987 5. Minnie Wanette Thompson (Twin) b. July 10, 1922 Still Living. 6. Thilda Wanita Thompson (Twin) b. July 10, 1922 d. September 09, 1922 7. Rex Eugene Thompson b. December 19, 1923 Still Living 8. Harris Thompson b. January 26, 1925 d. April 29, 1925.

Alexander worked on the New York Central Railroad. My mom told me that when he worked for the railroad he would get off the train at the end of our road and come down to their house (which is the house I live in now.)Which runs from Marion to Wabash, Indiana. She also said that he would get a free ticket for my Great Grandmother and take her to Michigan for the Tulip Festival.

Ingrid Emilia Thompson is the daughter of Hill and Thilda Thompson. She was born April 22, 1897 and died March 10, 1981. She married Lester Price. Ingrid and Lester had two children, 1. Dale Price b. UNKNOWN d. STILL LIVING 2. Gathel Price b. UNKOWN d. STILL LIVING.
