This John was the founder of Spencertown, some of his children were already
settled there. The names of all the sons given were specified by his grandson
Nehemiah, with the exception of John, who apparently did not go the
Spencertown. Nehemiahs letter can be found in the history of "The Four
Spencer Brothers".
