Old Corbett Mansion
on Black River





The old Corbett Mansion which stands on the banks of the Black River on the Pender County side of Beatty's Bridge.

This home was used in the movie "Night of the Hunter, starring Richard Chamberlain. The actual scene inside the church was filmed in St. Helena.

The Corbett Mansion was also used as the "Hillyer's House" in the movie, "Rambling Rose", starring Laura Dern and Robert Duvall. It along with Beatty's Bridge (which was covered with sand and the Ivanhoe Church were in scenes in the movie.
