He was marred Charlotte Wadsworth on 9 January 1899 at the Parish Church of Wath on Dearne in the County of York after Banns. He was aged 22 a bachelor and a tram-man of Winifred Road. His father was a retired miner. Charlotte was aged 19 and a spinster. Her father was John Wadsworth, a labourer. Witnesses were Edwin Bonnell Ardron and Martha Wadsworth. My 2nd cousin 3 times removed was born on 17 November 1913 and then baptised on 18 February 1914. His father was a miner and of 53 William Street, Swinton. (APR + GRO ref Rotherham 9c 1660 Mar 1914 - Wadsworth)
