The Milleson and Galey families were linked in 1884, when Elisha Galey married Eliza Ellen Milleson in Missouri. The Millesons had lived in Iowa, but their earliest times in America were in Pennsylvania. That's where Jehu Milleson was born in 1826. He married an Indiana girl in about 1850. They had seven children, including Phebe Anne, Mark, Sara Elizabeth, Lee, Albert, Eliza, and Nancy Jane.

Further research will be necessary to reveal more about Martha Milleson's Potter roots. Martha was born in Indiana in 1833, but we know little else about her. The picture of Martha and Jehu, shown at the right, was undated. The boy with them was unidentified, but he was probably a grandson.
